How they didnt award this film for Best Picture of 1963 is beyond me, its 10 times better than Tom Jones, without a doubt!!!!!

I am from Turkey. I'm 22 years old and I cry every time I listen to this song. When I was a kid, I watched movies with my father every night. I remember the old days. I see how painfully human beings are losing their humanity day by day. I see how meaninglessly emotions disappear. This is very embarrassing for us. I try to nourish my soul by watching these beautiful movies and listening to these beautiful songs.

Great post Fred! I had not heard this "groovy" Dominic Frontiere score before. One of my favorite Frontiere scores is for Cleopatra Jones & The Casino of Gold. Keep groovin' Fred!

As much as i love Waxman, he just rehashed his score for the original, which was okay because the movie was a stinker as was the book. Metalious didnt even want to write it, the producer, Jerry Wald had her do it so he could cash in on the success of the first film. The song stunk, too.

Jerry Goldsmith also did the music 🎵 for two animated feature films 🎥: The Secret of NIMH (1982) and Mulan (1998). Those sound very ideal choices to add to your list, don’t you?

Hells Picture is the most pungent theme ive ever heard for the image of death and desolation. Btw, its funny how many games with japanese background use a soundtrack that draws its inspiration from.thia movie. Shogun 2 Total War and Ghost of Tsushima, for example. Beautifull flutes.
